I finally opened one of the renewal mailings for the 2010 version of the Taxbook and noticed they offer some discounts if I renewed by 10/22/10. I have used the WebCD version of the publications for the last couple years and liked it. I noticed that the WebCD is no longer advertised in the print material but has been replaced by the new Web Portal.
(although it looks like you could still order a WebCD using the online ordering mechanism). I've got reliable internet service so I'll go the portal route this year.

Have any of you signed up for the web portal version yet and actually used it? It was suppose to be up and available in early September. I got an order confirmation but will look for an email with my password for the portal. I was just curious what other thought about it.

I discovered it on their web site a couple of weeks ago. I called them, and talked to them, and I changed my order from the CD to the Web Portal. Everyone is supposed to get an email about it sometime this month I think. It sounds good, and especially this year it would be nice to get the information SO MUCH EARLIER.

I still want the CD so I can put it in a computer that is not on-line.
