    NT - Exporting Jobs

I understand a bill was introduced Tuesday in Congress to penalize companies who export jobs from the United States and then continue to sell their products here at full price. The news report said the bill was withdrawn under threat of a filibuster.

Can any of you provide a link to this bill or its fate?

This Is Just One More Example OF Big Business Controlling Congress

My not tax the portion of the product coming into the USA that represents labor. Say 60% of the Niki Shoe cost is subject to FICA taxes. Our goverment watched our manufacturing base go over seas since 1990. Anyone old enough to remmenber Ross P. He warned all of us. Have A Good Day Bob

      Link??

Thanks Bob, but I wonder if anyone has a link? The subject matter of a thread like this always is in danger of becoming a social or political tirade and there are better forums than this one.

I do want to comment, but would prefer to do so on a blog somewhere else. A link would help tremendously.

          Thank You

Yes, this is exactly the source. Thank you VT - wish you would post more.

I was also able to track down the vote to stop the filibuster. For anyone interested, you can
Google up Senate Vote #242. Very partisan vote, and very predictable.

As a side note, Oregon's ex-governor Spinner (Neil) Goldschmidt a Democrat, was the CEO of Nike that transferred all of their manufacturing to China.
