    4797 Or Schedule D

Client rented house 2002 till mid 2008. Then house went up for sale. Client made no attempts to rent it from mid 2008 till the sale in Dec 2009 (I am not claiming rental deductions for this period as client did not try to rent it) . Do I report the sale on Form 4797 or Schedule D?

If he didn't live in it, I would put on 4797. Even if he did, I think it is now pro-rated, is it not?
