    medicare "donut hole" question

a friend and her husband both have individual insurance coverage , both pay from their social security checks for medicare. friend fell into the "donut hole" for prescriptions last year. when she tried to find out about the $250 rebate, she was told her husband's income was too high , so that disqualified her. Does anyone know why? or where i can look up ? thank you

        2010

It was on a list of tax changes beginning in 2010, but I have had no reason to look into that any further. Have your client talk to her plan provider. Then, she can call the SSA about her specific situation or give you POA.
