Any more word on the "payments" to gulf oil spill area "businesses" without ANY tax records and/or "books"? The media sure got OFF that band wagon didnt they?

Well, when Kenneth Feinberg & the GCCF took over from BP and promised to make payments post-haste, he had to back off that statement, and said "It was more complicated than I realized." That issue was probably one of the "complications." I hope they hold them to some kind of accountability.Last edited by Burke; 09-20-2010, 09:12 PM. -

if the amount given to business & individuals by BP were reported on 1099MISC if there would be an uproar if the IRS were to check if prior year returns were filed to justify the payouts of 10K, 15K, 30K etc? and collect SE as well as taxes. or would they be pictured as the mean old gov?Comment
