    Adjustments to Income and AMT

The instructions for Form 6251 lists the Self-employed health insurance deduction and Qualified plan deduction as affected items which may need an AMT calculation adjustment.

Using the IRS website AMT assistant calculator, these items do not show up as AMT adjusted items.

Do these items need to be adjusted and entered on Form 6251 Line 28 Other Adjustments?

You will need to calculate Schedule C, using the AMT rules, to determine how much of the SE insurance premium is deductible; same with the retirement plan. If there is a difference, then that difference will go on the 6251.
