I have a W2GU... a W2 from Guam.
How do I handle this?
They did their own return in 2008 and ignored Guam, but included it in their US income. I need to know whether or not they should have filed with Guam last year.
Now, I have a very small W2GU for 2009, for temporary work. Do I just list it as a normal W2? It's only $319, has Guam withholding of $47 and it does have SS and Medicare withheld.
Where do I look for the answer? I'll check the IRS website. I don't see anything in TTB.
Thanks!~~
edit~~ I see that if the income is $5000 or more, the form 5074 needs to be filled out. Since the US owns Guam, there isn't a special Guam tax return to file, is there? Does the Guam withholding count toward the US withholding? geez... I feel so dumb.....
