    Time & Billing Software

I was just informed by Creative Solutions/Thomson Reuters that they will no longer support their old time & billing software. For a mere fee of $1,700 i can upgrade to their new program that has way too many bells and whistles and could run General Motors. I am also sure there will be a 5-600 dollar fee each year and you are billed separately for each support call. Seems like TR does not want small operators like me (3 person office).

All i want to do is put in a clients time and charges, bill periodically, and track the receivables-simple , simple, simple.

Any input from you all wouold be appreciated.

I use Quickbooks -what won't it do for you?

Also I use Chaos Intellect for customer management...they have a time billing module. I don't have the time module but love my Chaos Intellect program and their support is very good. Their prices are super reasonable. http://www.chaossoftware.com/

Absolutely love, love, love Time & Chaos. We too have the Chaos Intellect but that is such a boring name compared to Time!! &!! Chaos!!!

We have not tried their time & billing module but hope to soon. Till then, TPS software handles all our time and billing requirements.

I also use Choas Intellect Software, have for years, and it does everything I need, client info, email, apts and more. It also networks great. I tried Outlook for a while, and after Choas I hated Outlook. For my personal I use the Choas Software, online, and it syncs to my Ipod. I do use Quick Books for billing. I had a 4 person office and it worked great, and I am still using it as a 1 person office. It is about 50.00, and the price covers you for several years, until they do a new version. When we had the office we would say to each other, well look it up in Chaos. Clients would look at us really strange, so we started calling it T & C (when they only had Time & Choas, no Intellect yet).
