Looks like your tax

Spent today preparing amended returns for those who took sales tax deductions for new motor vehicles and those who qualified for the $2,400 unemployment compensation deduction.
They tell us on 05/24/10. Great.
Just count your $$.

The non-conformity rules, are not nice at all. Long time ago we got them almost every year. Has been a few years since this has happened.
How did you find out about this? Your link was a complete surprise to me. My software has not made the correction yet.
Now, how do we find out what tax returns this was done on?? Look at each return?? OR wait and look at last years returns when they come in to do their 2010 returns. Will have to think about it. I have too many other things to do right now.

AZ Returns
I only have a few AZ returns, but haven't had a chance to review. I can think of maybe one new car sale and one unemployment benefits. And I have one AZ resident return on extension that I have not completed.
So I will try to check on Monday, and post back any findings.
I have a different software than Drake - so we shall see
Thanks B Hoffman, for bringing to everyones attention, seems like most of us should be at least reviewing any Arizona returns, regardless of software used.

Does anyone know if ProSeries is current?
I looked at a return I filed on 4/14/10 with Unemployment and I see ProSeries did not add $2400 of that UE back in the TP's AZ tax return.
So is this our (the Tax Preparer's) fault due to our software or is it AZ DOR fault and if AZ DOR fault, what are you charging, if any, to amend the AZ tax return?

A retroactive tax law change, that is made after the return is filed, is not the clients fault, and not ours. I will probably do the few I find, give them the amendments, no charge. That way I am protected. Will they mail them in? I don't know, but at least I have done them. Usually something like this turns into good talk about me, people know I am looking out for them. I don't think I will have that many.
