    Drake vs ProSeries

Shortly before tax season ended I asked for input of switching from ProSeries to Drake. Two members responded to let me know after tax season. I forgot who it was and, of course, don't know if these members are on board now.

If you are and have completed your evaluation, would you please give me some insight?

    Thanks.

Gretel, did ProSeries increase in price again this year?

      AZ -- I'm not

Gretel, but in 2009 I paid $1391 for ProSeries and this year the bill is $1445.

        Drake vs ProSeries

I believe Drake still offers its current version free for potential customers after April 15. If so, your best way to evaluate would be to get a free copy and do some of your returns using Drake.

The input screens are a little confusing, but you can switch to a forms input mode which links each line on the 1040 to the input screen. For 1120s and other returns, there is no forms input mode, but the screens are not as confusing as for the 1040

I have the evaluation disk and will evaluate myself. I consider the feedback of prior ProSeries users as very valuable.
