Regarding tax preparers who are not EA's, CPA's or lawyers... "unenrolled" preparers in other words, and their PTINs:
If you already have a PTIN, you still must "Refresh/renew" your PTIN so that it is registered. (After Sept 1 when all this begins)
This might be old news for you, but it was new and useful for me so I thought maybe one person could use it...
