In looking at TTB p. 11-12 and comparing it to Form 5695 instructions, I see a discrepancy.
My wife and I are considering purchasing new air conditioners for our house. However, I see that portable or window air conditioners don't qualify - it must be CENTRAL air conditioning.
But in looking at TTB p. 11-12 and Form 5695 instructions I see that
TTB says:
Air Conditioner - Any Form of Fuel - Must achieve thhe highest eifficiency tier established by the Consortium for Energy Efficiency in effect as of January 1, 2009.
Form 5695 instructions for line 3a say:
A central air conditioner that achieves the highest efficiency tier that has been established by the CEE as in effect on January 1, 2006.
A 3 year difference. and the chart on p. 11-12 doesn't specify CENTRAL A/C, but was corrected on the Update Bulletin.
