    Changes to tax programs

Following is a link to an article that discusses what changes may be made to the various tax softwares for the coming year.

Might be interesting reading for some of you.

Only in government or politics is a "cut in spending" really an increase. It's just not as much of an increase as they wanted it to be, therefore a "cut".

    This is a nifty idea

"The Thomson unit also plans more robust tools for monitoring efiling. An automatic email would be sent to the client once a return has been accepted. In the eyes of the client the preparer, "is going to seem on top of the game," says Fleszar."

          Does anyone

          use an online software application?

I have had some experience with Creative Solutions. Can't say I was impressed. Once you stopped the subscription you better have backed up your data to your own computer. Along with their file cabinet software.

Maybe it's me but I have never found Creative Solutions customer friendly.

            Email

I have the email to client option with ProSystem fx. However, I chose the option for the client's email to come to ME instead. That way, I add my own note about the states or ES or anything else I want to remind them of or say to them and then forward the email on to the client.

But they can only do this if you input the client's email address right? So let me ask
Do we have the right to provide the clients email without their knowledge or authority?
Believe nothing you have not personally researched and verified.

                Clients' e-mail address

Doesn't Ultra Tax already have that if it's been data entered on the proforma?

                  Email

Just one more reason why I have the email come to me to forward to my clients.
