    ProSeries Users form 309

"Credit for taxes paid to another state or country". Other state income smart worksheet

If $50K is in column 2a and I want all $50K to be included in the other states income Column 4 and $0 in Column 3 (AZ in this case), does Column 3 and Column 4 both have to have $50K displaying? I tried entering $0 in Column 3 and $50K in Column 4 and the $50K still exist in the AZ taxable income. I feel I am having both states tax the same $50K.

I know nothing about Pro Series, but AZ 309 is used BECAUSE income IS taxed by both states. May be this will help your thinking process.

If your state allows a credit for taxes paid to another state the other state tax paid is entered on your state form in the miscellaneous deductions area,.

Unfortunately the "where do I enter" option in ProSeries is not available on state returns so you will have to check the AZ instructions for the location of this entry.
Believe nothing you have not personally researched and verified.
