    first time home owner tax credit

    If individual was under contract for home in 2009, but house was not completed until 2010. Can individual amend 2009 taxes and claim the credit or does he have to wait until he files his 2010 taxes in 2011?

      Anyone buying a house in 2010 can elect to claim credit on 2009 tax return.
