    I've tried it with food - obviously THAT didn't work for me.
    The problem is, it's possible to go completely without cigarettes, but we can't go completely without food.

    So I see I'm not the only who's jealous of joggers...

      That is only partially true. I have been on fasts for up to three weeks, drinking only, while living my normal life. The book that encouraged me to do so had an example of an athlete who ran his life's best time on his 45th fasting day. That's almost a tax season.

      Eating less is much more difficult than eating nothing, physically and mentally. Starting to eat again was always the most difficult time of fasting.

        Smoking is fun and it keeps you skinny! Yeah...sure...

        I have stopped smoking for over a year two times. For some dumb reason, I picked those things back up again and bought another ticket to the cold turkey blues.

        Going to give it another go after this tax season. Have a nice self hypnosis CD that worked really well last time. Should have listened to it again instead of starting again.
