    1099-patr

Form with $12,000 in box 1 and Fed taxes withheld.

Issued by a co-op as 1099-PATR Div,. evertyhing I can find say's SE tax on income.

Is there anyway this income is not subject to SE tax. Everything I read say's yes on SE.

The co-op issueing the 1099 say's line 21 no SE.

What did the client get from Coop? If the goods or services he received were related to biz then the dividend would be subject to SE.

Back of form indicates that if distributions in Block 1 are taxable they should be entered on Schedule F or C or Farm Rental.

If person receiving distribution is not in business or a farmer I do not see that it would be taxable anywhere.
