Does any CA prepare know if the mortgage debt bill has been updated or are our clients still on the hook for the amount of their cancelled debt. This pertains to only the mortgage not any thing else. I looked and it still seemed that CA did not corform to IRS rules but thought I would just see if I was wrong.. I do hope I am wrong on this one for the sake of my client who is facing a huge tax bill!!
