    New Car Sales Tax Deduction

In MO one does not pay the dealer sales tax on a vehicle. Rather the tax is paid to the state at the time of licensing. Client bought new car in Dec '09 and licensed (thus paying sales tax) in Jan '10. I say no deduction - Correct?
