    Long Time Resident Home Owner Credit

    Clients Home Was Completely Destroyed By Fire In 08. They Rebuilt And Moved Into Their New Home Oct 09. Do They Qualify For Home Owner Credit? They had lived in the home for over 10 years

      No credit.

      They are not first time home buyers since they owned a home in 2008 which is less than three years before October 2009.

      The credit for long term home buyers didn't start until November 8 of 2009.
