I seemed to be plagued with the dependency rules this last week, so please forgive me for asking questions.
I have a taxpayer that has a son age - 22, working part-time made $ 6,650 and also enrolled in Community College. Taxpayer parent provides greater than half of the support for this "kid".
The college transcript for 2009 shows that he was only enrolled in 7 hours for the spring semester and 10 hrs for the Fall semester, and then 3 hours in Summer. Doesn't seem like I can qualify him as a full time student under Age 24 under QC
And due to income of $ 6,650 he won't meet the qualifications for QR
Anyway that I can qualify him as a dependent on the taxpayer's return?
Thanks
Sandy
