AMT form 6251 line 4 entry

After reading IRS pub 936, the instructions for the form 6251 and some INTERPRETATIONS
of other websites I wish to pose a question. For a typical home mortgage interest or other
interest paid statement for funds borrowed to purchase a motor home, travel trailer, boat
with living quarters, etc. is the interest paid deductible on schedule A or is it an ADDBACK
on line of AMT form 6251 or both. What I read suggested that this is NOT deductible on
schedule A because it is considered to be for TRANSEINT use. Comments?

Second residence mortgage interest is usually deductible on Schedule A, and there is not an AMT adjustment. There are exceptions, but from what you've described it sounds to me like it's a Schedule A deduction, with no AMT adjustment necessary.

        I agree

I agree with Veritas. Boats & RV's are add back for AMT.
