    Client in military move to SC 06/01/09. How does SC treat military pay.

    I remember something that has to do with where he lives, on base or off base. If on base he is only subject to his home state LA. If off base, he has moved his state of residence to SC.

    But I could be wrong.

      Nonresident not subject to tax on MILITARY pay. TTB States...

        I agree with that, but you need to understand "Who is a non resident".

          If the military member was not a SC resident before entering the military, he is a Non Resident and not subject to SC taxes on MILITARY pay.
