    Franchise expenses

    I have a client that spent $10,000.00 dollars in buying a franchise. Is this a Capital Expenditure where she can deduct $5,000.00 dollars and the rest to 15 years amortization? or how this kind of expenditure is treat it?

      I believe you amortize it over 15 years.
