Life Coach-Deductible?

Client asks if a life coach is deductibe? If it is, is it medical or employee business expense.

Life coach? I really doubt it. Unless you can get a physican to write a letter saying that it is perscribed for their mental well being.

Tony Robins is a life coach or maybe Oprah. Maybe some people need someone how to live their life.

Biz Coach

I have a client who's a business coach. She works a lot with transitions, such as finding another job, moving up in employment, managing staff. She herself went to a business coach, and we did deduct that on her schedule C as an outside consultant.

But, a LIFE coach. I think having a life is personal.

LOL! Aren't we ALL "life coaches"? Sometimes we are financial advisors and at
other times father confessors.

Personal life coach is not deductible...business consultant may be depending on the services rendered.
