I am having a senior moment. Efiling of a decedents return with a necessary 1310 must the 8879 and 1310 then be mailed in to the service center. As always thanks for the help.
Hope everyone's tax season is going great mine seems to be easier this year in some ways.

check the 8453

lines to see if the 1310 is one of the items that can be sent in that way. If not, the whole return is not e-filed. I do not have chance right now to look it up. I generally just mail those because of signatures and the need to send the court appointment paper on so many.

For some reason my software (Taxwise) alerted me that by using a form 1310
the return is a paper return only.
So that's the way I did it.

Now, I've another similar return, except this one has two form 1310's.

Had one recently

I completed one recently. E-filed with 1310. Nothing mailed.

Return was accepted. A check on refund reveals that refund was mailed.

Just last week I efiled and sent the Form 1310 per instructions:

Form 1310 to the Internal Revenue Service Center
