Client brought in 1099-R's from Western Natl Life and notice the Payers EIN and address were the same as last year's 1099-R under the name AIG. Little heads up.

Client brought in 1099-R's from Western Natl Life and notice the Payers EIN and address were the same as last year's 1099-R under the name AIG. Little heads up.

Elderly lady came in during late January, without her tax stuff yet, complaining that she never received any money from Western Nat'L Life.........

Spent about 15 minutes researching and found that same information.

Then she remembered, she did get a letter........
