    Reinvest

The Reinvestment is a purchase of more shares which you will track to have your cost basis when you sell those shares. The funds to reinvest probably came from Dividends, so you would report the dollar amount of dividends from Form 1099-DIV along with any details re qualified dividends and the other boxes on that form starting on your Schedule B.

If I understand your question correctly reinvested dividends and capital gain distributions are reported on 1099-DIV as taxable.
