    income from Trinidad

Okay. This is my year to learn lots of new things, I guess.

Client has a technical consulting business. He does software and CAD applications, etc.
He did a job for a company in Trinidad and earned $3000 on a job he did there while he was a sole proprietor.
Then he formed a partnership LLC with a friend in Georgia and the partnership received $600. from the company in Trinidad.

All I am finding when I look under worldwide income is regarding being in that country and working. They never went to Trinidad. Or I find for citizens of Trinidad working in US.

Where can I find the correct information to see if they only claim it on the US tax return or if something needs to be filed for Trinidad?

    Thanks

    Linda

Hi Linda - I think you have to look at the tax treaty. Here's a link and happy slogging

Thanks for the link. I think that would be a good job for my husband/employee. He can do the slogging for me.
