    Benefit concert for fund raising

Taxpayer attended a benefit concert for fund raising for a community service organization (He said he would not have attended the concert if it was not a fund raising event). They did not say the portion that is deductible on the ticket. Does it mean none of the ticket price is deductible or there is a certain way to calculate the portion that is deductible?

I would research what this type of concert would normally cost for the price of a ticket.
That would be the amount that is not deductible.
Believe nothing you have not personally researched and verified.

      Tax preparers are

now going to research fair market value of local concerts??? The charge for doing that may be higher than the deduction.
