    NYS Tax Refunds

    Hold on folks -

It was announced in the press today that Governor Paterson came up with a brilliant idea.

In order to provide NYS with cash flow - he wants to hold taxpayers' refund money until June 2010 and pay it with interest.

So if your NYS tax clients don't get their refunds right away - good chance it's because of this.

My State Senator and Assemblywoman don't know a thing about this to provide me with any reliable information.

What a time to make this move - right in the middle of the tax season.

      [Patterson] is toast.....
Alternatively, he is the only person in government that doesn't believe that the tooth fairy will swoop in and solve all our financial problems.

OK, it's a long link, but saw this relevant news article this morning about cash strapped states delaying their refunds. And it didn't even post as a hyperlink- sorry! Copy & paste'll get you there, though.
