    Is a website design considered software that should be depreciated over 3 years or is it an expense?

    I seem to recall reading somewhere that it is a 3-yr depreciation item. Don't remember where I saw that. CRS disease. I guess.

      I would use the software development category, if it is customized work. See TTB, page 9-18 for details.
