    Inappropriate message board posts

    This message board has been provided to our customers as a free service. Tax Materials, Inc. reserves the right to delete any and all posts we feel are not appropriate.

    We have stated many times over the years the kinds of posts that are not appropriate:

    • Personal insults
    • Links to inappropriate websites
    • Political posts
    • Insulting tax preparation firms

    We cannot review every post on our message board. If you feel someone has posted an inappropriate post, send me an email and I will review it. I check my email everyday.

    mmmm.....

    MMmmmmmm... I for one learn a great deal EACH and EVERY time I come to this board! Some issues ARE difficult and there are MANY views about how to handle clients, tax issues, etc - I have learned to LOOK for replies from certain posters because they are almost always well thought out (AND CORRECT!)
    Yes we should remain "civil" but please do NOT stop POSTING!

      Blocking?

      Brad, do you have the ability to block certain posters who continue to post inappropriately?
      Even if those poster have provided correct & valuable information previously, the personal attack aspect of the most recent ones was troubling.

        We do not block anyone from posting unless they have had repeated warnings that they are posting inappropriate messages. Those who have recently violated our rules know who they are. I do not believe any further action is necessary at this time. We will keep this thread at the top of the list for the next several weeks to remind everyone what kind of messages will be deleted.

              A reminder…posts that have political overtones will be deleted, even if you think it has some tax purpose to it.
