I have a self employed client with a Safe Harbor 401k plan set up as a Roth 401k. He is aware that he has till the due date of his return plus extensions to fund it. He wants to file an extension to extend the time he has to fund his Roth 401k but still file his return by April 15. Does the filing of the return prevent him from funding his plan?
