What Education Credit would this be eligible for?

I have a client who took a course for his job. He received a 1098-he paid 850 and had scholarship/grant money of 700 -so we're only talking $150 out of pocket.

This was some kind of technical course for his job.

What educationcredits would this be eligible for? I don't believe he has ever claimed any education credits for himself? This wouldn't be leading to a degree.

NM-looks like the lifetime learning or the education deduction. American Opp credit requires the student to be pursuing a degree...not the case here...I just couldn't find the details before I posted!
