    Making Work Pay-Effective for 2010?

Did this credit expire in 2009? If so, did the withholding schedules adjust back to normal?
    Hmmmm?

No, not yet expired. This credit is good for 2009 and 2010.

      MWPC for 2010

Well, that explains the rather cryptic change in the withholding formula for wages paid to nonresident aliens...

There is something new for non-resident aliens. See page 17.

Add an amount to wages just to figure their withholding, but don't actually add the amount to wages.

The withholding schedules have changed for 2010. The 2009 schedules spread the withholding out over 9 months, and the 2010 schedules spread it out over 12 months. So people should be seeing a slight increase in their withholding for 2010 vs 2009, but the net effect should be the same for both years.

          $250 credit

Will the $250 Govt Retiree provision and $250 checks to to SS and VA disability recipients also be happening in 2010? I thought those were just good for 2009 but just got back from bowling and too lazy to look it up.
