How do these fees compare to your fees?

My competitor about 5 mi away has their fees posted on their website. How do they compare to yours?

I did a couple of scenarios. My fees were even or a little under theirs.

A little low for me, but in the ballpark. I have to say they're brave to quote a Schedule D or Schedule C, even if they do post a disclaimer. These two forms regularly add up to an amount that is much more than the basic return. They load up the Schedule E charge, but they seem to lowball the C and D.

Low for the more simple returns. Very few returns here for less than $100. Average to a bit high for more complex returns.

Low for this area. I did find it odd how much their Schedule E is, relative to their other forms. Guess that preparer really doesn't like E's.

I saw that, and assumed they were probably assuming an E meant rental income or suspended passive losses which have to be tracked. Surely they wouldn't charge that much just to plop a K-1 entry on Schedule E. On the other hand, they only charge $10 for a 9465 - hardly worth the time to print it & hand it to the client, not to mention the time it takes to explain it to the client before preparing it.

This is lower than my base price. Similar on some forms/scheds. Others, I'm higher. Odd choice of forms on that list.

                      I think it's funny.

You can actually get a quote for a 1040EZ return with a Schedule E in it.

How will they be able to prepare such a tax return?

Do you use firefox or explorer? For some reason I could not get it calculated with firefox. But then when I used explorer, it worked.
