I let a client claim the FMV for a logo donated to a school for use on their stationery, etc. Is it FMV since I see it as a product? Or is it basis because it took her time to produce it (in which case she gets nothing).
Deduction for an artist's own creative work is limited to basis. I'm very interested in how you determined fair market value for such an individual item.
