    E Services

Before I waste some time, does anyone have experience in filing POA online at E-service for a t/p that has no prior AGI history - as in this is the first return.

I am thinking it won't process.

T/p thinks Dad filed return, but no one knows, so I was going to try to access the transcripts.

I am thinking E-services won't accept as a - or -0- in the AGI field for verification and I will probably need to file POA at CAF to access in about 5 days.

I use E-Services but have never come upon your situation.

Would there be any harm in trying the E-Services and then if that fails, go the regular route?

Don't waste your time. There is no way to enter the POA without a prior year AGI and $0 is not an option. Just fax in the POA to the central number and wait 48 to 72 hours, weekends excluded, and it will be active.

Won't work in e-services without an AGI. But you can call PHL and fax the POA to that person while on the phone and they will get you the info immediately. No need to bother with the POA fax number and waiting days.

I had two such clients in the month of December, first one I faxed in AM and the next afternoon I was able to get transcripts from eservices - so just over 24 hours.

Second one was over the Christmas holiday, faxed POA on the afternoon of the 24th tried on the 26th was denied access, tried again on the 27th and was able to get transcripts.

I had a client that needed past 5 years filed. Got POA for all years, faxed in, and was able to get transcripts in 48 hours.

              Oh Well

I really like e-services but it does have it limits.

So guess on this one, I just have to fax the POA or call PHL and see if I can access info.

              Thanks everyone,
