    Eict

I attended the IRS web seminar yesterday. While I was somewhat disappointed that we are left to ourselves to ask the right questions I was pointed to good resource information.

If you type "886-H-HOH" in the search book and then click on the first option "EICT Pubs etc." you will find a list of H forms for different purposes. These are list for supporting documents.

If you just use "886-H" you will also find these list for the FTHB credit and the AOC.

    Nice resource

Thanks Gretel! Excellent & interesting info. I'm keeping a printed copy of the 886-H-FTHBC in my TTB.

Thanks Gretel, the 886 Forms are a nice reference to warn taxpayers in advance of records the IRS may be wanting to see.

WOW! thanks so much for that Gretel!
I was just getting ready to do a FTHC return soon. This is so helpful to let them know what is needed to be sent with the return.

In your post you said "search book"... what book are you speaking of?

            Me Too

I also participated in the webinar and thought it was very good. They suggested going to the website

It has much information, including questions to ask clients relative to EITC

Gary, I have been on this website even before I attended the webinar. I couldn't find helpful questions to satisfy due diligence. Did you find them? I also haven't received the promised e-mail from the IRS yet, have you?

                    Promised E-mail

                    Gretel:

                    I didn't get my promised e-mail either.

This is where I found some Case Studies with questions to ask
