Projections and Jan SS deposits

Working on some client projections.

Client gets her social security deposit on the 3rd each month. Jan 3rd will be on a Sunday this year, so she will get her SS check on Dec 31.

Will that count as 2009 income (assuming not) or 2010?

What SSA uses in issuing the 1099SSA forms is the usual 12 payments per year.
