For POA, use e-Services whenever possible as you'll know what's on file with the IRS in real time.

For NAEA, the local groups give great CEUs with their meeting/dinner/day speakers, including ethics and great networking opportunities and advocate for all EAs. Great pubs, both print magazine and e-mail, too. Or, try the local group for NATP and see which you like best. If you're in CT or NY, the NY/CT-ATP (not affiliated with the national organization NATP) is the absolute greatest for federal and multi-state courses, good food, low cost, and an amazing web sit with message board.

As for eServices, it's great of course. However it does have some limitations, in that
taxpayers' accounts aren't always up to date. It took more than a month after my
concluding agreement on a CP2000 issue for them to post the balance due of $4.30
although the last line was a credit of same with notation "written off". (due to the
low amount.)
