Require to report DCP-REG in box 14?

    Hello,
DCP-REG in box 14 Is it require to report? If yes, where do I report it? I use taxact software.

    Thank you very much.

Defined Contribution Plan - Regular. Is there a Code in Box 12? Normally, Box 14 is informational.

      Hi Solomo,
It was reported in box 14 not 12.

Are boxes 1,3,5 the same and if 3 and 5 are different than box 1, is the difference the same amount that is in box 14?

In all probability this is a mandatory retirement plan and that is why there is not a code or an amount in box 12 for it. When a plan is mandatory, it does not qualify for the Savers Credit - Form 8880. Thus, box 14 is informational only.

              Just info

Generally speaking, items in W2 Box 14 are information items only and frequently are there to provide information re gross/taxable income (The "Well, I KNOW I pay for medical insurance....it comes out of my paycheck each month!" scenarios.)

The numbers that really matter are in W2 Box 12.
