Thats not Microsofts fault you bought a computer with a processor that doesnt support virtualization. (Usually less expensive computers)
What program do you have that wont run in win7? If it runs on your Vista machine, it'll work in 7.

For those considering Windows 7 with XP mode
I just bought a new computer in May and made the switch to Vista (I hate it!) so I was seriously considering the upgrade to 7 because of being able to switch to XP mode for my tax program.
Wrong! This link will take you to an article about compatibilty issue and from there you can also (if you choose) see if your computer will run in virtualization mode. Sheesh, my computer is only 5 months old and won't do it. Thanks Microsoft.
