    Tax Talk CPE

I haven't done a Tax Talk for a long time. I did do one or two of them years ago. I don't remember that I had to pay anything for CPE, but unless I'm reading it wrong it looks like you need to pay now.

Is that right that you didn't have to before and do have to now?

    CPE's

I dont' know the answer to your question, but I've never been able to sit still long enough
to watch one of those in it's entity. The only times I watched portions of it was when another
EA who I know was a guest on it.

A bigger bang for the buck however, and much more convenient, is the usually 2 hour
credit you can get for answering 20 questions in each issue of the bi monthly NAEA
EA Journal. Sometimes there are 4 hours available. 2 hours for 35$; 4 for 65$.
No travel expense. No time spent on an airplane or on the road. Very convenient.

      TTB has Ethics Too

without the most boring of all the CPE stuff.

TTB (see upper right) has accredited CPE materials as well as an online exam.
Fits well for your time schedule and your pocketbook.

Does anyone have an opinion on the Video DVD Packs like THOMPSON REUTERS has available. Took one some years back and thought it was the greatest; certainly beats the live seminars. You get
your CPE only after extensive study and completion of a test that you
have to submit for grading in order to get the CPE credit.

I am not certain, never have done CPE with them but have watched many until last year. I think you always had to pay to get CPE credit, maybe not in the very beginning.
