What are all the forms of payments the IRS accepts?

Its my understanding the IRS accepts Visa, MC, Discover and American Express. Does the IRS accept e-check or electronic check?

    I would think

you could either use the EFTPS system for electronic payment, or a bill-pay system from a bank to do electronic funds. I believe you can also send a same-day wire, but it's a little complicated, and I've only ever used it for payroll tax deposits.

The IRS, rather US Treasury, does not accept credit cards. And the reason for that is that treasury is forbidden
by law from paying discounts to credit card companies.

There is, however, an alternate payment method which uses a third part for credit card payments with attendant service charge.
