1099-misc

New client, he hired a sub contractor to do painting of expensive homes for the Parade Of homes. Client received the paper work, I-9 etc. sub contractor has vanished back to Mexico. No 1099-MISC has been filed. Can one be filed at this late date without an address? Sub was paid almost $39,000.00.

I'd probably file it using the last known address.

That's what I would do and then keep the returned mail as proof.
