Is anyone able to find in The Tax Book or in QF a reference chart of the book to the IRS code sections? If they are in there, they are hiding and there is nothing quick about finding them. Thanks in advance.

IRS Code references/TTB or QF?

Code sections are cited at the beginning of the major headings under cross references. For example, page 4-4 at the beginning of Medical Expenses cites Section 213.
There is no complete list of code sections in chart form in the book. However, the Deluxe Edition has a 7 page topical index to IRS Publications just before the index in Tab 25.

Code Section Chart
I might add that anyone interested in code sections should purchase a code book. I use RIA's Complete Internal Revenue Code, which has a very good topical index at the beginning to the various code sections.
An even easier method to finding citations, however, is to purchase a CD from someone like Kleinrock that has all the codes, regs, rulings, court cases, etc. and then simply do a word search.

Thanks for the help
Thanks for the insights. I'am glad to find it wasn't me, but they really are not there. PPC Deskbooks have right in front of their index IRS code sections, in order, referenced to the Deskbook. I just assumed TTB or QF would have them, but apparently not. Perhaps the editors could log this as a suggestion. I'am sure they have thought of it and have a reason for not doing it. Yes, of course, the CD ROMs would have this (I use Tax Analysis). I dislike using the CD ROMS and only use them when I have to. Thanks again.
