Bees could you favor us with a short description or perhaps just a reference to TTB to explain when a home office is someone's principal place of business?. I would venture a guess that more often than not it isn't.

I am not Bees, but I have been following the discussion ... go to Section 5-14 Sole Proprietorships title " Principal Place of Business Test-Business Use of Home Office."

Thanks Bees for the Rev Rul and code references. Sometimes I think the TTB is a little weak in giving the coded references, etc. Several years ago , I had a guide (cannot remember the name) that provided great references to Tax Code, etc; but was worthless in any practicial application which is where TTB shines.
