    Corrected Form 941 - Help

    What is the way to correct a Form 941 and attaching the 941C ?

    Facts & question:

    1) Client realized understated two payroll checks for April 2005

    2) Do you correct by redoing another Form 941 with the CORRECT TOTAL wages & withholdoing for the quarter ? Then attach the Form 941C to the "corrected Form 941?

    You would show the corrections on the next 941 you files which is 1st Qtr 06. Attach the 941C explaining where the adjustments came from. You can't file a 941C by itself.

      More Correction

      Also don't forget to correct your State reporting as well. Also usually done with the quarter report.
